I need a little advice from those of you who have had the dubious pleasure of riding the Savage in the rain on a freeway. We seem to have hit the monsoon season here in Ohio, and I'm planning on taking the Savage on a couple of longer trips this summer.
The last I heard about this, 25 years ago, it was recommended that nothing over 50MPH was suitable on a bike in the rain. My brother has done 70 on his big hog with no problems, but then it weighs more than twice what the Savage does.
Given the fairly fat tires and light weight, what do you feel is the maximum safe speed on a Savage on a rain-slicked road (I'm not talking about gully-washers or thunderstorms, just wet -- otherwise, I park it).
